president of mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador, He said the census of missing persons may be released in December and that he will meet with the governors this Monday, November 27, around noon to discuss the issue.
López Obrador explained that the model that could be announced without specifying the day would be the model of the day Mexico City which is almost done and that it will be agreed today at the meeting that will be held with the governors.
“Well, yes, in December we can report that the Mexico City model is almost done.” That’s the one we could announce as soon as possible, but we’ll agree on it today… at the meeting,” the CEO explained at a morning press conference.
Regarding the national census, the president said that work is already underway to complete it and that it is a house-to-house search for missing people.
“Well, go door to door because it turns out that people who were fortunately thought to be missing or who are elsewhere, sometimes even their relatives didn’t know,” the president explained.
On the other hand, AMLO also criticized some human and civil rights organizations. He confirmed that they, including some nuns, acted in bad faith and spread false information about the number of missing people in the country.
According to the president, some of his opponents tried to deceive by claiming that there are more missing than there actually are, and he accused these “right-wing organizations” of defamation and damage.
