Dronamicsthe world’s first cargo drone airline will deliver its planes Aramex, specializing in advanced logistics and transportation services, enabling long-distance and same-day delivery of goods to new territories. The association was signed by agreement LOI (letter of interest) and was provided Strategic Development Fund (SDF) from United Arab Emirates.
Dronamics develops and operates long-range cargo drones. Its flagship is the so-called Black swan, capable of carrying a payload of 350 kilograms over a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, reducing costs and emissions. The aircraft enables same-day long-haul transportation for a wide range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and e-commerce. The company is part of the SDF portfolio and is co-financed union Europeanwithin European Innovation Council. In addition, it is the first UAS cargo airline licensed to operate in Europe and a strategic partner of the company International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Aramex is listed on Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and develops its operations in more than 70 countries, offering parcel services, heavy cargo transportation and supply chain logistics solutions. The two companies, which share a common vision of aerial logistics with unmanned systems, will explore the possibilities of joint deployment, initially in the United Arab Emirates, followed by other key markets where the technology has already been tested and validated, such as South Africa and Australia.

From Aramex, the signing of this contract is also seen as a step towards the future of drone logistics. operations director, Alas Saudi, highlighted that the partnership is in perfect alignment with the company’s efforts to “leverage innovation, improve operational efficiency, deliver exceptional customer experiences and minimize the carbon footprint in the UAE and global operations”.
